Bear Spray Safety Training

Levert Personnel Resources Inc. now offers black bear awareness and bear spray safety training, as part of our growing fleet of health and safety training programs. Employers have a legal responsibility to ensure the health and safety of their employees. This means ensuring your employees have been trained to deal with any potential hazards they may encounter on the job. Northern Ontario is in the heart of bear country. Ensure you have fulfilled your responsibility as an employer and train all of your employees who work outdoors in black bear awareness and bear spray safety. 

Program Components Include:

•          Black bear recognition and behaviour

•          Black bear habitat and signs of activity

•          Black bear hazard recognition and preventative measures

•          Responses to human/bear encounters

•          Bear spray safe usage, transportation and storage

•          MSDS and first aid for bear spray exposure

•          Practical bear spray demonstration

•          Wallet card certification for every successful participant 

 This 2 ½ hour course is a must all employees who live and work in or near bear country. From the novice worker to the seasoned veteran, knowledge is the key to safety and survival. Ensure your employees are trained in proper techniques and not urban myths. Certification provides you with the peace of mind that your employees have been adequately trained in appropriate techniques and responses. Do your part. Have your employees trained because working safely, keeps everyone working.
